leaving on a jet plane
3MTA3
so in about four and a half hours my wife and i will be boarding a transcontinental flight with a three month old child who has not slept properly in about two weeks. let's just cut out the middle man and directly insert a bullet into my brain now please. thank you.
blogging may be light for the next week -- even if i do survive the flight and the ire of my fellow pilgrims. please bear with.

Safe travels, Nice Guy Family:) I hope you have a great vacation!
Hope your trip is wonderful!
Hope you have a good trip! Good luck!
ohhhh, good luck on the plane...
You're a brave man.
Dude, one word: Benadryl. Drug that baby. Believe me, it's the kindest thing to do--for all parties. Failing that, hand some nice prescription tranquilizers out to the rest of the passengers. Or just to you and Mrs. Nice Guy.

Tried the Benadryl trick once with a baby on a very long plane trip, she didn't sleep for 16 hours, fussed and cried, other passengers were ready to put a bullet in our heads, but just before landing she closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep-from exhaustion. The doctor didn't tell me that Benadryl can have this effect on some babies.
I agree with the above post by anonymous - had the opposite effect on my son and I don't suggest it unless you try it before the plane trip to try the dosage.
But in our case, it wasn't the passengers that were ready to put a bullet through our brains as much as I was.
Hope the trip went well enough that you are still sane (all 3 of you).
